With no readily available publications in the 70s and early 80s, the LGBTQ+ community created their own magazines by scrap booking headlines, news, and promoting companies that were LGBTQ+ friendly. The scrap books were photocopied and left at LGBTQ+ bars and safe meeting places. We’ll be sharing the story of zining and invite you to create your very own ‘scrap book’ exploring what pride means to you. 

Samples from the workshop will form part of the Emerald 55 exhibition held in February 2025.
