OUT North East is a regional LGBTQ+ charity bringing people together, creating opportunities and changing lives across the North East of England.
We believe everyone deserves to feel safe, supported and included, wherever they live and whoever they love. Our work is about making that happen.
Through our outreach, community projects, events and partnerships, we connect LGBTQ+ people and allies across the region, helping to reduce isolation, challenge discrimination, build confidence and create opportunities for people to thrive.
At the heart of our work is the ONE Centre in Gateshead, the North East’s LGBTQ+ community centre. It's a safe, friendly space where you can be yourself, meet new people, find support and feel you belong. With a growing programme of free activities, social groups, workshops and wellbeing sessions, there's plenty to get involved in.
We're also home to Pride Radio, our award-winning LGBTQ+ radio station, broadcasting across the North East and around the world. Through music, conversation and community stories, we give LGBTQ+ people a voice, celebrate diversity and bring communities closer together.
From our free Pride festivals and community events to year-round outreach, training, support and campaigning, we're working to make the North East a place where LGBTQ+ people feel safe, valued, visible and able to thrive.

The ONE Centre
The ONE Centre is the North East’s LGBTQ+ community centre. A safe, friendly space where you can be yourself, feel supported and know you belong.
With free activities, social groups, workshops, wellbeing sessions and support services, there are plenty of ways to meet new people, make friends and feel part of a community.

Outreach
You don’t have to visit the ONE Centre to get involved with OUT North East. We bring projects, activities, events and support to communities across the region, helping LGBTQ+ people and allies connect wherever they live.
