Summer of Pride
OUT North East’s Summer of Pride Festival takes over June for official Pride Month, bringing colour, creativity and connection to Sunderland, South Tyneside and Gateshead. It’s a bold, joyful celebration of LGBTQ+ communities - and everyone is welcome.
Packed with workshops, cinema screenings, talks, creative activities, community takeovers and more, Summer of Pride is about getting involved, trying something new and celebrating together. Whether you’re young or older, new to Pride or a familiar face, Pride is for you. Age, identity and ability are never a barrier.
Come along to connect, learn, celebrate and show up for community. Our Summer of Pride Festival is about visibility, belonging and sharing Pride in all its brilliant forms.

As well as events organised by OUT North East, the calendar features activities from partner organisations and other external events we think you’ll love. From sports clubs and crafting sessions to theatre performances, social meet-ups, and health and support services, there’s something for everyone.
