Put your best foot forward and get on track – the Pride In Gateshead Colour Fun Run is back!

And once again we’re heading to Chopwell Woods for a fun evening which is open to everyone from elite athletes to those who just want to go on a gentle walk.

Last year the 5k run was one of the highlights of our whole calendar of events, organised in partnership with Forestry England.

Around 350 people took part, from babies being pushed in prams by their parents to 80-year-olds.

The event is all about inclusivity so it doesn’t matter if you want to run it or walk it, it is just a fantastic opportunity to have some fun and exercise at the same time.

The run – which is taking place on 20 August from 5pm to 8pm – will also feature food vans, stalls, live music and activities for children so is the perfect summer evening of entertainment.

And best of all – it’s absolutely free to take part!

You will however need to register and you may also want to consider getting sponsored and supporting Out North East, to ensure that events like the Colour Fun Run and the rest of the packed programme can continue in future years.

Forestry England is also delighted to be working with Out North East for a second time.
