Out North East is an LGBTQ+ charity working to support, uplift, and celebrate the queer community across the North East of England. From providing safe spaces for people to be their true authentic selves, to tackling isolation and mental health challenges, to ensuring LGBTQ+ voices are heard loud and clear - Out North East is at the heart of real change.

We work closely with local communities, organisations, and partners to tackle the challenges faced by LGBTQ+ people across the region. We focus on building strong, inclusive networks that support everyone - from young people just starting to explore their identity to older LGBTQ+ individuals who often face isolation, poor health, and lack of representation. By working together, we ensure that no one is left behind. Our outreach and advocacy help create safer, more welcoming spaces across healthcare, housing, and community services. Through these vital partnerships, we’re addressing real issues and creating lasting change for LGBTQ+ people of all ages.

We also believe Pride should always be free and accessible to everyone. Pride isn’t just a celebration - it’s a lifeline to many. It’s where people find community, safety, identity, and hope. But keeping Pride free takes funding, and we can’t do it without your help.
